Each year as November approaches I look forward to the project

While walking around Downtown Juneau

I noticed the reflection of Republic Plaza and after moving back and forth along the curb came up with the above composition

I quickly looked for a foreground element to add for this image and found a pair of floatplanes out at the Juneau International Airport to help frame the image on this September evening

Using a telephoto lens I was able to zoom in close to the beach and waited from the next wave too come onshore giving three distinct variations of color

With a storm having moved through the area over night as well as high tide the water was coming up to the steps down to the cove bringing man and nature merging in the scene. Spending some time to capture the scene brought me the above photograph as well as some wet feet from standing on the landing for a couple of shots as well.
