This fordite cabochon is made from fordite that occurred at the plant on Parkway in Toledo Ohio

We did not cut this stone to exhibit a star pattern as we prefer the round shape for this piece and honestly I like the silver flash

I typically keep one piece available similar to this and another set in sterling silver

This is a unique stone with subtle color play in green or red depending on which way the stone is tipped

This fordite type hails from lower Michigan and results from painting parts for SUV's and light trucks. It has very thin layers and is mostly metal flake paint.
