It grows amongst other vegetation in acidic soils on the moorland and has a multitude of traditional medicinal uses including smallpox

The seaweed has been carefully pressed and dried

Beneath the Waves - Original Unique Monoprint, Isle of Islay (vi) seagrass com/products/into-the-redInspired by my love of the sea, and what lies beneath the waves, this monoprint has been created using drift seaweed collected on my snorkelling adventures on the Isle of Islay. It has been pressed and then used to create a unique one off piece of art no two are the same. We use vegetable oil based inks and 300gsm Snowden Paper. This print is supplied mounted the total size is 305x305mm
