It was California's very first proprietary red Bordeaux style blend, and his idea was to blend the finest wine lots of the vintage into one bottling. It was revolutionary for its time. Made with 100% estate grown grapes, Insignia is a big, generous wine, well balanced, with dark fruit on the palate and a floral, spicy finish.
