Malthouse One West Colour:Raw Coal Mill at RozelleSunlight cuts through the deteriorating roof of Malthouse One West, the southern of the two original malthouses at Mittagong Maltings. Malthouse 1 was the first structure built on the site in 1899, constructed by Stuart Brothers of Sydney using locally sourced bricks. A 1969 fire gutted it permanently, leaving the shell standing while all internal structures were removed. Part of the Mittagong Maltings series.
