The form of the piece dates to the 1800s or even 1700s, but we are not certain of the age of this piece specifically. Our best guess is that it dates to the 20th century, around the 1920s 1940s. It's a very nice piece of hand carved work in a rich dark wood. The box is made in the form of a stylized leaf, with a lid that pivots to reveal four interior compartments.
