The lurex skirt layer acts as its own lining and the main bodice is backed in a black satin

The body underneath is more straight cut and easy so that it is very comfortable to wear

I also see the edge just under the arm has a tiny bit of shattering and there is spot near the hem that has an area of shattering

Really great examples of dresses from the forties are almost impossible to find anymore and often examples have just a minor detailing of sequin work

Her collection was lovingly sourced over decades and she has decided that it is time let them back out into the world for others to enjoy.
