which were inserted into a small slit opening at the middle of the bag

The ensemble is very well preserved

It was formerly housed in the Museum of the City of New York

The cape is richly embroidered with a stylised rose motif and arranged in a cascade. Each of the flounces is decorated with lace. The cape is fastened at the neck with wide (original) silk ribbons. In good condition. Stained on the inside, a few moth holes on the outside. The decoration is not included.
