They continued to do so until Karl Lagerfeld took over the haute couture design in 1983 and later the ready to wear in 1984. The Chanel Creations label was retired upon Karls arrival and from what I can research it was only launched upon Gabrielles death for that ready to wear line. This is a fantastic Chanel knit
