The straps are the same fabric as the dress and there is a nice V plunge in the front and back is left bare and fairly low

These then wrap around you and secure at the back and the bottom parts of the gathered fabric are attached and a part of the dress that works its way over the top of your hips

Anchoring these are panels of a black silk satin ribbon that run vertically down the lower part of the dress and are used to highlight and define the cut of the upper part
