It is made out of a heavy cotton and there is literally yards of fabric in the dress

The original belt holds the 4th dot and I love how they graduate in size and density from the belt to the final huge dot pattern that circles the hem

1960s Trompe L'oeil Beaded Bag Dress & Matching Coat designer-andre-laug Three working buttons on eachI have had a version of this dress before but never one that still retained with it its matching coat. It is really a rare and unusual set that has a witty trompe l'oiel handbag made of bead work and faux pearls on the dress. Made to appear as if a beaded evening bag sits over the shoulder and down the side, the entire design is completely hand beaded onto the dress. A ring of beads also circle each cuff. On the coat, the neckline also is encircled in
